Massage Therapy Program

The Massage Therapy program found at Cambridge College - Aurora will prepare you for a Diploma in less time than you would have ever dreamed.

What Kind of Career Do We Prepare You For?

Our training teaches you how to use many different therapeutic methods to massage soft body tissues which have been affected by illness, injury, or stress. You will develop the ability to help your clients experience reduced stress, renewed energy, increased flexibility, improved posture and more.

You will learn invaluable lessons in how to start and run a massage therapy business on your own. What can you gain from our Massage Therapy program?

  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology as it pertains to soft body tissue injury and its treatment
  • Overseen study in traditional Swedish massage and other treatments like hydrotherapy, sports massage, lymphatic drainage, deep tissue massage, chair massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, and spa treatments
  • Utilization of proper body mechanics to prevent injury
  • Education in nutrition, stress management and wellness
  • Training in first aid, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • All-inclusive study and experience needed to begin and maintain a Massage Therapy business
  • Supervised Clinic in a clinical setting.

Classroom Procedures

None of the classes are dependent on prerequisites, they each operate as a stand alone unit. The program may be entered whenever any course begins, and the student may continue working though the sequence until they have completed all courses.

Supervised Clinic

You will get an opportunity to participate in a six-week supervised clinic after the successful completion of coursework. Skills taught during the classroom will be utilized during this time.

The supervised clinic that doesn't pay people, has a total of 120 hours that you are required to work.
