The Florida Career College has be the recipient of collegiate status from the Florida Commission for Independent Education. Its Allied Health Medical Programs' curriculum is accredited under the Commission for Independent Education.
The Massage Therapist Diploma Program can be completed in duration of 9 months with 37 credits. Therapeutic massage is a rapidly-growing field with in the natural health care profession. Spas, physicians offices, chiropractic centers, and many other facilities are choices of workplaces for Massage Therapists. Students become proficient in massage techniques and learn the components of anatomy, physiology, modalities, pathology, joint movement and more applicable knowledge.
Program Objectives: After completing your coursework, you will be knowledgeable in the theory and practice of massage, Swedish massage, hydrotherapy, spa therapy and Oriental bodywork. Students also learn health and safety practices and CPR along with human relations skills, the legal and ethical aspects of massage, and skills necessary for employability.
