Associates Degrees

Associate degrees and therapeutic and clinical massage is a program of 6 quarters duration, providing students with an understanding of the body and its functions and teaching relevant techniques of massage and therapeutic skills. Specialized massage techniques such as kinesiology, therapeutic massage, sports massage, and neuromuscular therapy are covered among others. To prepare the student for a massage career and national certification, this degree helps them learn client-therapist relations, communication, and promotion.

Certificate Program

The certificate program of therapeutic massage, completion time 4 quarters, teaches you the required skills for application and treatment goals of muscular and general relaxation, stress reduction, pain management, recovery from injury, health promotion, education and body awareness. It is necessary for the practitioner to be proficient in not only simple massage, but he or she should also posses an understanding of the body and its functions, master a variety of techniques, and hone such skills as client assessment, communication, and self evaluation. Students who wish to pursue the associate of applied science degree in therapeutic and clinical massage may, upon this program's completion, transfer all credits earned toward that program of study.
